Mind the Music, Plug your Ears

(Inspired by YANKEE DOODLE)

Jimmy Doodle "went to town"
A-poundin' a drunk Yuppie
He struck the rowdy with his light
And called him "a damn yankee"
Jimmy Doodle, keep it up
Jimmy Doodle-Dandy
Mind the music, plug your ears
and light the girls you fancy!

Hey, Where'ya Lookin',

(Inspired by HEY, GOOD LOOKIN' by HANK WILLIAMS SR.)

Hey, where'ya lookin',
Cain't tell where'ya lookin'?
But How's about hookin' some High Life up for me?
Hey, there lady,
Don't you think that maybe
You could tell me which eye you're usin' to look at me?

I got 2 songs in and a 10-dollar bill
And I'm not close to drinkin' my fill.
There's High Life here and the next song could be me,
So can I order or are you even lookin' at me.

Hey, where'ya lookin',
Cain't tell where'ya lookin'?
Are you even lookin' at me Mrs. Jim-my?!

A Series of Pathetic and Regular Attempts

It had been a long time... some changes some similarities... New Bouncer. No handle yet... Jimmy there as usual as was Joanne... Jimlet... and to our surprise the resurrection of Matchbox Kenny as MC. Same ole' Matchbox Kenny.

Mostly it was a night of reminiscing and "performing" for our group. It was quiet at first and we got the first round in fast, but then the Jam kicked in and it was a long wait for round two.

We spent some time recalling all of our favorite past regulars... SLIM GIMPY, GULF WAR SYNDROME, IRISH (and regular) SOFTHANDS.

Katie joined us which was fun, hopefully she too will be sucked into a series of pathetic and regular attempts to draw attention to herself, as we all have done these many years now.

I apologize to Friends of Rhonda... but I have totally forgotten their names... I DID remember their performances though. Those were UNFORGETTABLE

THE LINE UP

The Alien: I WANNA BE SEDATED, FAT-BOTTOMED GIRLS (mega-harmonized duet with Rhonda)
Rhonda: FAT-BOTTOMED GIRLS (mega-harmonized duet with The Alien)
Friend of Rhonda 1: GLORIA (and here I thought Laura Branigan was the one to have recorded this...)
Friend of Rhonda 2: YOU NEVER EVEN CALL ME BY MY NAME (His was the best version all night)
Katie: LAST TRAIN TO CLARKSVILLE (Monkees "deepcut" - well played!)
Lisap: UNDER THE MILKY WAY, PAPERBACK WRITER
Chris: YOUR CHEATING HEART, NORWEGIAN WOOD
